DI PATRI Funeral services for Albert M. "Al" Di Patri, 77, will be held 11AM Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at St. Luke's Catholic Church with Father Joe Meehan officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery. Al was born in Camden, NJ, and he went to claim his eternal home on Friday, July 3, 2009 as his family gathered and witnessed his transition. Al was a long time resident of the Jacksonville area, most recently Orange Park. He was a fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and served numerous ministries at his home parish of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Middleburg. Al was among the most loved men in that parish and his absence will be felt by every member. Al was predeceased by his parents, numerous siblings and his grandson, Stephen. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce Di Patri; three sons; Michael (Linda) of Phoenix, Kyle (Hoozy) and Scott (Renee) both of Green Cove Springs; a sister, Lillian of Apopka, FL; a brother, George Di Patri of Port St. Lucie, FL; seven grandchildren, Brandy, Nicole, Kylie, Chrissy, Frank, Sunny and Bryce; six great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends. The family wishes to express special thanks to Community Hospice, Peter Pitocchi, MD and care-givers Hoozy Di Patri and Rita Van Barriger. The family will receive friends on TUESDAY (TODAY) from 5PM-7PM at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials in Albert's name be made to Alzheimer's Research, Community Hospice, St. Luke's Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.
